Your High School
Your foundation to your success has been built over the last 4 years. What better place to commemorate that than at the location that started it all, your high school. JoJo chose exactly that by opting for his session at Riverdale High School. We were able to capture striking images that spoke to his journey.
Nature
Tennessee is known for the beautiful spring and fall seasons. It's easy to plan a session for a location within a 30 minute drive of Murfreesboro that breathes life into a photograph. Penny couldn't agree more when she chose Sinking Creek Farm in Murfreesboro as her backdrop. The combination of Tennessee landscape and rustic vehicles spoke volumes about her personality.
Bold Venue
Creating a lasting memory through photographs involves bringing out locations you identify with. Madison is huge into art and wanted to convey her passion in a meaningful way. We both decided it was worth the trip to go to the Free Expression Tunnel at NC State in Raleigh, NC. We even made a side trip to the NC State Museum! Together our creativity flowed as we crafted images that are cherished to this day.

Planning tips & FAQ
When’s the best time for taking photos?
For Tennessee, there's really no bad time to take photos. It comes down to the look that you want to go for. Many seniors opt to take photographs early to mid morning or late afternoon to early evening. These are the best times to take advantage of beautiful gold sunsets in Middle Tennessee.
Even if the light doesn't cooperate with our session, it's ok! I'm experienced in using artificial light to create stunning photos that you love just as much!
What should we wear or pack?
Senior sessions can be quite long (roughly 2 hours) with a lot of walking. It's best to make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes and socks. Don't fret if they don't look good with your outfit! Bring an extra pair or two to change into once we start photographing so your outfit looks on point.
Another recommendation from me would be something to drink and some snacks. Posing for an extended period of time can feel like a workout. Just like a workout in the gym, you want to make sure you properly fuel yourself. I'm not talking a thanksgiving dinner! Something simple like water or gatorade pairs with protein/granola bars and some fruit. If that's not your jam, grab what keeps you going throughout the day!
Do we need a permit for photography?
That can depend on the venue selected. I try my best to utilize locations that I'm familiar with. Each one has their own specific set of rules and regulations that need to be followed. If a permit is requested, I will ensure our session meets the locations requirements.
If you have a venue that I am not familiar with I will have to research to see if there are any limitations for photography. Some locations in the area do charge steep session fees that are unavoidable.
What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate with us?
One thing that Tennessee can guarantee is that if you don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes! There are times where we just can't catch a break though. In the event that weather prevents a session from occurring, we can always discuss rescheduling or finding an indoor location to complete your senior photos
Do your prices vary based on location?
As long as we are in shooting in the Murfreesboro area, there aren't additional fees for your session. All sessions are approximately 2 hours in length. That gives us plenty of time to hit multiple spots as well.
Prices are based on what final products you want. You can signup for your free pricing guide below!
